Simone, who is of Irish roots, was born in Berkshire and raised in South Wales where she mingled with celtic music and developed a style of her own. It was here that she won the First Prize in a National Art Exhibition and her painting of a floating fisherman was exhibited at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery in Swansea.
After completing her education she moved to London where she raised money for her travels and supported herself by working in bars, offices, clubs and magic demonstration. The poetry never left her but it certainly left it's mark in her Exhbition at the Barbican Arts Centre .
Two years playwriting and acting workshops at The Anna Scher Theatre
, North London enriched Simone's dramatic insight and stage presence during
the 1990's.
Travel provides a great deal of inspiration for Simone. 'Nostnamelc
' was borne whilst sailing the seas between Jutland and Norway,
'The Humming Bird' emerged through travelling from London to The
Far East and her supernatural musical, 'Gemstonia' transpired
in an extended journey through Africa. 'The Freeble Friends'
found their home in Epping Forest. Simone has returned to her roots where
she continues to compose, sing and write her stories.
